Metal 3D Printing in South Florida

Today’s technology gives us capabilities of 3d metal printing all types of materials including, Tool steel, stainless steel, fiberglass and aluminium.

Is it possible to Print in 3D with metal?

Yes, we use advanced printing technology in Fort Lauderdale, South Florida to produce durable and cost-effective parts using 3D metal printing.

3D printing has evolved; initially it was regarded as a toy and then became an expensive but rapid method of producing prototype. It is now considered to be a major branch of additive manufacturing technology. 3D metal printing works in a similar manor as printing plastics which melt the material and then deposit it layer by layer. However, the challenge in metal 3D printing is that metal has a very high melting point and it is either melted by Selective Laser Melting or the part is produced using Binder-Jetting.

How does our Metal 3D printer work?

Similar to printing plastics, our metal 3D printing deposits metal powder bound in a binder one layer at time with one nozzle while a second nozzle deposits ceramic martial to provide a layer to separate the metal part from any support. This eliminates any post production cutting to separate the support elements from the main part.  The parts at this stage are green, that means the metal particles are held together by the binder and are solid and stable to go through the next two stages of washing and sintering to remove the binding agent and melt the metal particles to fuse together, forming a solid durable finished product. You can see some examples of products produced by our 3D metal printing process in the gallery section of this page.

If you need to produce complicated components in Miami, South Florida please contact us in Fort Lauderdale, you will be pleasantly surprised to know that we can print complex components in a variety of material

Can you use Tool Steel in 3D metal printing?

Yes, we offer metal 3D printing using Tool Steel powder for a variety of applications with high hardness A2 and D2. Traditional methods of producing hot-work and cold-work tools using tool steel are expensive and time-consuming, utilizing metal 3D printing you can be up and running much faster. If you are based in South Florida or Miami and need a complex punch and die set please contact us in Fort Lauderdale.

What about Stainless Steel 3D metal printing?

Stainless steel is the most used steel, and it is used for the manufacturing of numerous components. We offer stainless steel 3D printing in 17-4 PH and 316L for a variety of applications. 17-4 PH is suitable for aerospace, medical and petroleum applications as it has high strength as well as hardness. 316L stainless steel with good corrosion resistance and excellent weldability makes it ideal marine applications. We provide cost-effective 3D metal printing to produce stainless steel parts for marine applications in South Florida.

Other Materials

As well as metal 3D printing, we can produce parts with a variety of composite materials including Onyx, Onyx FR, HSHT Fiberglass, Carbon Fibre, and Kevlar. Composite 3D printing can produce products which are robust enough to replace machine parts and be very cost-effective.

As you can see in the Gallery section, we can produce a wide range of complex parts using our 3D metal printing technology in South Florida, Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas.
